The CrossRoads Training Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy is the PCTIA Registered career training school division of the CrossRoads Counselling Group and has been devoted to career training in the complementary medical/behavioural health care field since 1999, in order to help people in their personal and professional development . All of the training is designed to expand the participants' awareness of themselves in their everyday personal as well as professional lives.

When it comes to Clinical Hypnotherapy career training in Vancouver and Victoria, BC Canada our goal is to provide our communities with competently trained skilled professionals, who can help others to reach their goals to live healthier lives - reaching the fullest extent of their capabilities.

Our training meets and exceeds the clinical standards established by the Association of Registered Clinical Hypnotherapists (ARCH Canada) and surpasses the standards established by the National Guild of Hypnotists, International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association and the International Association of Counselors & Therapists (USA).

The primary focus is Wholistic Healing, Integrative Body/Mind/Spirit Therapies. The techniques our students are trained in (depending on the programme of study) cover a broad spectrum of approaches, including Gestalt and Reichian body approaches, Acupressure, Energy Therapy, IBP, Role Playing, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Family of Origin Therapy.

In the training of clinical hypnosis in Vancouver and Victoria, the classic work of Elman, Erickson, Barnett, Tebbetts, Adams and Kappas are examined - in the present, the modern work of Yapko, Hogan, Elias, Kroger and Hammond. This includes their methods of Hypnoanalysis, Visualisation Techniques, Regression, Stress Reduction and Pain Management. In all areas of study the techniques founded on the Skilled Helper Principle for client-therapist communication skill development are also employed.

Those registered in the year one Clinical Hypnotherapy Training Programme in Vancouver or Victoria, BC Canada are eligible for Certification as Clinical Hypnotherapists in Canada through the Association of Registered Clinical Hypnotherapists (ARCH). Certification is also available in the USA as a Hypnotherapist through the International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association (IMDHA) and/or the International Association of Counselors & Therapists (IACT) and/or the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) upon successful completion of the 300± hour year one programme of study.

On completion of year one the graduate can then enter the year two Clinical Counselling-Hypnotherapy Programme in Vancouver (or Victoria), BC Canada. On successful completion of year two, the graduate will be eligible for certification as a Registered Clinical Counselling-Hypnotherapist through the Association of Registered Clinical Hypnotherapists (ARCH) Canada.

The training in Clinical Hypnotherapy is held in two primary locations in British Columbia:

• Victoria on Vancouver Island
